Hybrid Branded House
Three restaurants, and three unique atmospheres, all located in a beautiful setting in the French alps.
Brief: Create logos & coherent visual identities for multiple restaurants.
Solution:  In 2019, I was asked to create the first logo for La T'chapa restaurant. Located in the little alpine village, Lindarets, it is open for summer and winter. A "T'chapa" is a marmot in one of the native American dialects. They can be spotted not far from the restaurant in the summer and hibernate close by in winter. Showing a marmot was essential, giving the reader more context about where the restaurant's name originated.
In the following years: 2021 and 2022, my client launched two new restaurants in two different locations. "Le Wakpala" is a restaurant on one of the few Annecy's lake sand beaches, and La Terre de Bellevarde, an open-air restaurant overlooking the lake.
The strategy was to create recognition and build on each restaurant's equity while keeping on each restaurant's distinctive attributes & atmosphere as the starting point. I adapted the logo to each location's uniqueness and reflected it through the colour palette and graphic elements.
Standardising the applications was considered to optimise asset creation & production.
Potential future acquisitions could also adapt under this "brand architecture".

La T'chapa - Altitude restaurant
La T'chapa is a restaurant in the alps open in winter and summer. Located in the Lindarets, a small alpine village where summer goats wander free to graze, it is also the starting point for walks where you can observe marmots.
Le Wakpala - Beach vibe restaurant
Le Wakpala is a restaurant on the shore of Annecy lake on one of the few sand beaches the lake offers.
Next door, a nautic centre offers many activities, making Le Wakpala the ideal summer spot to chill and get active.
La Terre de Bellevarde - Open-air restaurant
La Terre de Bellevarde is a restaurant overlooking Annecy Lake. It offers exceptional views of the Aravis mountain range.
A wide array of outdoor and indoor games awaits customers to spend the day feeling at home.
